Half

Everything and nothing
seemed to happen that day.
Perfection,
and complete disarray.

I am only half,
half happy, half empty.
The other is out somewhere
trying to find his heart.

Garbage cans,used tissues,
torn love letters, the ocean.
Through wastelands, rewinding
every tear. He searches in
a quest without end.

We are only half as grand,
a broken diamond,
a forgotten puzzle,
a crescent moon.

I have it safe,
cradled on fluffy pillow,
locked within my own.

He'll never know.
